House Update

Well, I've only been here a week, but my mother has already settled right back into her nagging regime as though it were her primary language. And so the hunt for a place to live continues.

I looked at a place in Chapel Hill today. The rent is comparatively cheap and the folks living there seem quite friendly. I'd be living with three others, all older than me and working. The room, though it is not massive, is a reasonable size and the house is older but quite pleasant. It's quite a leafy and quiet area too, which is good, and not too far from where I work.

The main problem I can foresee with the household is that two of the housemates are smokers, and the smoking veranda is not far from the bedroom I'd be renting. I'm not sure if this is enough of an issue to put me off the place entirely, though it certainly is a drawback. I have a considerably low tolerance for smoking. Though I'm inclined to pass for this reason, I think it pretty unlikely that I'll come across a deal as good as this one again.
